There’s no denying that every kitchen needs tools, of course, there are certain dishes you can make just with your hands, but on the whole, appliances and tools offer a big help when you’re making tasty dishes for anyone and everyone.
There was a time, when I was a student, that I depended nearly completely on only the very basic kitchen tools like knives, pots, a potato peeler and a one frying pan for all dishes. Thankfully, since then, I’ve stepped up my game pretty impressively and now know that having a whole arsenal of kitchen appliances can only help in the kitchen and trying to get by on the bare minimums is not impressive or even necessary.
There are so many things I could put on this list, it was hard to choose my top five, especially when all the things in my kitchen are like my babies! I managed to do it though, and here is what I came up with.
Instant Pot Multicooker
This contraption is just perfect for making life easy and cooking literally any meal or dish you can think of! The device is 7-in-1 and can steam, sear and slow cook nearly anything. It can make perfect rice, creamy yogurt, reheat food and can even cook thick cuts of meat with ease.
For your first date with this cooker, try out a hearty stew made with beef, gravy and seasonal vegetables. Throw in some onion and garlic and season to taste. Leave it in the high-pressure cooking mode for 20 minutes and you’ll have one of the best stews you’ve ever had!
Elite Cuisine Easy Egg Cooker
This device saves lives. For all the fancy dishes and meals I can make, perfect boiled eggs just keep failing to allude me! This egg cooker gets rid of any worries and stresses when it comes to making eggs, with no need to obsess over how much water, how long to cook and how exactly to cook it.
It can even cook up to seven eggs at a time and you can decide if you want them hard boiled or soft boiled depending on how much water you put into the machine. A handy tip – once eggs are cooked, transfer them to an ice bath to make peeling so much easier.
These are a bit of a cult item and with good reason! The NutriBullet saved my life – no exaggeration! I make my breakfast every morning with the NutriBullet and it works perfectly every time. You can make smoothies, juices, protein shakes or soup so easy and smooth.
My favourite thing to make is my breakfast smoothie. It’s a great healthy option for giving you a boost in the morning. All you need to do is throw in spinach, banana, blueberries, rolled oats, honey, vanilla protein powder and almond milk into the cup and blend on pulse for thirty second bursts.
This one is for when you want to have something and feel a little guilty about it. The Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker is so good. It makes breakfast waffles and dessert waffles in a flash and the removable plates make it super easy to clean.
